Deeply influenced by somatic and existential approaches to therapy, Derek collaborates to embrace and motivate the whole person. Strongly rooted in Somatic Experiencing and mindful self-inquiry, Derek draws on a variety of approaches that support the restoration of an individual's inherent wholeness into an integrated, embodied identity.

Derek holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Wake Forest University and is a Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor and Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist. Derek is trained and specializes in Somatic Experiencing and EMDR.
